"Selected Works of Kim Jong Il" Vol. 24 (Enlarged Edition) Off Press
Pyongyang, November 22, 2014 (KCNA) -- "Selected Works of Kim Jong Il" (Enlarged Edition) Vol. 24 was brought out in the DPRK. It comprehensively deals with famous works of leader Kim Jong Il.
The book carries 48 works authored by him from January, Juche 98 (2009) to February, Juche 99 (2010).
The works indicate the outstanding ideas, theories and policies which would serve as the guidelines for the struggle to dynamically push ahead with the building of a thriving socialist nation under the unfurled banner of Songun.
In his works he clarified the important guidelines to give fullest play to the inexhaustible mental power of the popular masses to bring about historic great innovations and leap forward and thus effect a new turn in socialist construction.
In other works he underlined the need to follow the noble example set by anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk, dynamically advance to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche and firmly defend, carry forward and develop the revolutionary traditions of the Workers' Party of Korea.
He indicated the tasks and ways for effecting a great surge in the production of different fields including the vanguard domains of the national economy and the tasks to break through the cutting edge in economy and science and technology and build an economic power and a scientific and technological power by further intensifying the drive for the industrial revolution in the new century.
He also clarified issues of bringing about a decisive turn in improving the standard of people's living and focusing forces of the whole party and state on this work, the theoretical and practical issues arising in developing the educational work of the country and stressed the need for the officials to decisively improve their cultural level.
The book also contains works dealing with the idea of creating more literary and art works conducive to the revolutionary education and class education, the issue of building well the recreation grounds and steadily improving their operation and the issue of positively conducting the work to turn the whole country into a thick woodland and greenery. -0-
