Korean Religious Believers Support New Line and Policies for National Reunification
Pyongyang, June 17, 2016 (KCNA) -- The central committees of the Buddhist Federation of Korea, the Christian Federation of Korea and the Catholic Association of Korea separately held their plenary meetings in Pyongyang on Wednesday and Thursday.
The meetings were attended by the chairpersons and members of central and local committees of those religious organizations, clergymen and churchgoers.
They supported the line and policies for national reunification advanced by Marshal Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and discussed necessary measures to implement them.
The reporters and speakers hailed Kim Jong Un's line and policies for achieving the national independence and great national unity, ensuring peace and reunifying the country by federal formula represent the unanimous desire and aspiration of all Koreans and they are the most fair and aboveboard and realistic proposal and everlasting great programme for national reunification as they are based on the scientific analysis of the history of national division that has lasted for over 70 years and situations at home and abroad.
The religious organizations and believers in the north, the south and abroad should not pardon such wicked group as Park Geun Hye group of south Korea which mercilessly tramples down the faith of believers who turned out in the struggle to achieve the national reconciliation and unity and the country's reunification through solidarity and alliance, they said, adding:
A final victory is sure to be won in the struggle for independent reunification as the Koreans hold Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the savior of the nation. No challenge on the part of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad can block the Koreans' grand march for reunification full of faith in sure victory and optimism.
They called upon all religious organizations and believers of south Korea to make efforts in the van to open the nation-wide great meeting for reunification, and turn out as one in the patriotic movement to promote the national reconciliation and unity and usher in the second June 15 era of reunification.
The meetings adopted relevant decisions and decided to send letters to the religious organizations of south Korea. -0-
